Job Description

Operations Manager

AUCKLAND

A bit about us

For over 19 years, ClearPoint has been the trusted technology partner for organisations navigating complex digital transformation. We combine software engineering, AI, data and insights, cloud, and human-centred design to deliver meaningful, lasting outcomes.

We work with some of Australasia’s most impactful organisations - and we care deeply about the quality of what we build. Our Auckland head office overlooks the Viaduct (5 minutes from Britomart), with co-working access across NZ and Australia. Through innovative thinking, we strive to make a difference for ourselves, our teams, our clients and our community across New Zealand, Australia and the UK.

The ClearPoint culture

At ClearPoint, we're proud of the culture we've built - collaborative, curious, and high-performing. Our values aren't just words:

  • Respect and Care for People
  • Act with Integrity
  • Earn and Nurture Trust

You'll work with sharp, passionate people who take ownership, raise the bar, and genuinely enjoy what they do. Based out of Auckland, you'll be part of a team that invests in your growth and makes space for you to shine.

The role

Ready to own the engine room? ClearPoint is hiring an Operations Manager on a permanent, full-time basis to own the execution of our business operational function. This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution - someone who sees a gap, fills it, and builds something better in its place.

You’ll have genuine breadth: facilities and office environment, corporate systems, events and travel, sustainability, corporate policies, Health \& Safety, and team leadership. You’ll also bring the technical confidence to get hands-on with our technology platforms and drive our ISO 27001 programme when it counts. You’ll work closely with the COO and collaborate across the leadership team to keep ClearPoint operationally excellent, secure, and a genuinely great place to work.

This isn’t a role for someone who waits to be asked. You’re proactive, accountable, and AI-native - you reach for automation and smarter ways of working as a first instinct, not an afterthought. If you want meaningful scope, real ownership, and the chance to shape how a high-performing tech consultancy operates, this is your seat.

The experience we're looking for * Demonstrated experience in an operations management or similar role in a mid small or mid sized company - you’ve owned a function end-to-end and have the results to show for it. * Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously without dropping the ball. * Strong financial acumen - able to manage budgets, govern SaaS spend, and make cost-based decisions with confidence and evidence. * Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills - equally comfortable in a leadership-level conversation and a practical team huddle. * Experience planning and delivering internal events or employee experience programmes. * Experience as a system administrator or power user of corporate SaaS platforms — you know your way around and can configure them, not just use them. * A solid understanding of information security principles, ideally with hands-on experience contributing to or driving an ISO 27001 programme. * Hands-on experience using AI tools in a professional context - you actively use AI in your work, not just in theory, and you’re always looking for the next thing to automate. * Experience identifying and implementing process automation or efficiency improvements that actually stick.

What you'll be doing

This is a genuinely broad operational role. Day-to-day, you’ll set and uphold the standards that keep ClearPoint running smoothly - managing the office environment, facilities suppliers, and building relationships; the events calendar and travel programme in partnership with Talent \& Culture; driving the sustainability agenda; and ensuring our Health \& Safety, BCP, and corporate policies are current and understood across the business. You’ll develop and lead the Operations Administrator, and provide hands-on support to the COO and exec team when it counts.

You’re also the master system owner for ClearPoint’s core corporate platforms. Real ownership: configuration, optimisation, integrations, and staff enablement. In parallel, you’ll champion the AI and automation agenda in operations, using AI daily in your own work and actively finding ways to automate and streamline across the business.

Commercially, you’ll own the operations budgets - technology, office, facilities, travel, and more - tracking spend, managing renewals, and making evidence-based recommendations to the COO.

On the technology and security side, you’re the go-to. You’ll own ClearPoint’s ISO 27001 programme end-to-end: the ISMS, audit cycle, risk register, and security culture. You’re also the primary resource for supporting the technology solutions that keep the business running - ensuring staff have what they need, and that devices, accounts, and licences are properly managed through every onboarding and offboarding.

What makes an ideal candidate?

We're looking for an Operations Manager who embodies the ClearPoint Persona - a way of thinking, acting, and creating impact that defines every ClearPointer. You bring a growth mindset and a natural instinct for identifying friction and removing it. A systems thinker who moves seamlessly from big-picture strategy to practical execution, and who owns their function completely - without waiting to be asked. You're AI-native: you reach for AI and automation first, use it in your daily work, and actively build that capability in the people around you. Calm under pressure, sound in judgement, and collaborative across all levels of the organisation. Your values align naturally with ClearPoint's, and you bring energy, quality, and insight to every challenge.

What we offer * Competitive compensation * Cutting-edge technological environment * Professional growth and development * Collaborative, innovative team culture

Work on complex, \& interesting projects. There's plenty of variety and autonomy in the role, giving you the opportunity to carve your own path and work with visionary members within ClearPoint and our clients.

We offer competitive remuneration with a range of staff perks and benefits. These include health insurance and subsidised gym memberships as well as access to massages, a dog- and kid-friendly head office, drinks and snacks, barista coffee, and lots of opportunities to take part in team sports and other events.

At ClearPoint we support flexible or remote working arrangements where appropriate that enable you to balance your work, life and passions. We have a number of ways to help us all stay connected, regardless of where you're working from - Slack and Google Meet are key!

All our permanent staff get an annual training and professional development budget for books, courses and conferences
