The Furniture Assembler / Carpenter is responsible for assembling, repairing, modifying, and installing furniture products to ensure they meet company quality standards and customer expectations. The role requires technical carpentry skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with various hand and power tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble furniture items such as sofas, beds, dining sets, wardrobes, cabinets, and other home furnishings according to specifications and assembly instructions.
- Inspect furniture components for defects or damage before assembly.
- Carry out minor carpentry work, repairs, adjustments, and modifications as required.
- Install furniture at customer locations when necessary.
- Repair damaged furniture and replace defective parts.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and woodworking equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure all assembled furniture meets company quality standards before dispatch or installation.
- Read and interpret assembly drawings, manuals, and technical instructions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Report material shortages, defects, or technical issues to the supervisor.
- Follow company health and safety procedures at all times.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and handling furniture when required.
Qualifications & Experience
- High school certificate or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Furniture Assembler, Carpenter, or similar role.
- Experience working with home furniture, wooden furniture, or interior fit-out products preferred.
- Knowledge of furniture assembly techniques and woodworking practices.
- Ability to read assembly instructions and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment.
Pay: Up to AED1,600.00 per month
