Bartender

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and personable bartender to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food and beverage service, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prior restaurant experience, proficiency with POS systems and knowledge of food safety standards are essential for success in this position.

Duties

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests following standard recipes and presentation guidelines
• Utilize POS systems, including Micros POS, for order entry, billing, and cash handling
• Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner to ensure a positive dining experience
• Manage bar inventory, restock supplies, and maintain cleanliness of the bar area
• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards at all times
• Handle cash transactions accurately and balance cash register at shift end
• Serve food items as needed and assist with food handling procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace adhering to health regulations
• Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional hospitality service

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a bartender or in food service within the hospitality industry
• Strong knowledge of POS systems, particularly Micros POS or similar platforms
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally
• Basic math skills for cash handling and order calculations
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong time management skills to ensure timely service during busy hours
• Previous experience serving alcohol responsibly and understanding of responsible beverage service practices
• Hospitality background with a focus on creating welcoming atmospheres is preferred
