Airborne Engines Ltd. is a Transport Canada, EASA, Rolls-Royce, and Ozark Aeroworks certified helicopter engine MRO facility based in Delta, BC. Established in 1991, we specialize in Rolls-Royce M250 and Ozark Model T53 turbine engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul for military and commercial operators. We are a multiple Rolls-Royce First Class Service award winner and a subsidiary of M International, a US-based aerospace company. Our team holds an average of 19 years of industry experience.

About the Role
We’re looking for a Welder to join our shop team. You’ll be working on aeronautical components using GTAW, resistance spot welding, and torch brazing techniques, on materials including titanium, Inconel, stainless steel, aluminum, and magnesium. We welcome candidates who have completed welding training and are early in their careers — if you have the foundation and the work ethic, we will invest in your development and support you through your Red Seal certification.
What You’ll Do
- Perform GTAW, resistance spot welding, and torch brazing on aeronautical parts, following OEM repair instructions and technical drawings
- Maintain welding area housekeeping, tool control, and equipment
- Support the Engineering department on weld repair specifications and first article inspections
- Repair and fabricate fixtures, specialty tooling, and work aids
- Operate drill presses, bench grinders, pneumatic and hand tools, and measuring equipment
- Adhere to Canadian Aviation Regulations, industry standards, and company health and safety policies
- Support Lean and Six Sigma practices in the shop
What We’re Looking For
Required
- Certificate in Welding from an approved technical school
- Hands-on welding experience — whether from school, or prior work
- Comfortable working with technical drawings and repair instructions
- High attention to detail, reliable, and a strong team player
- Acceptable visual acuity
- Strong interest in the aviation industry
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with titanium, Inconel, alloy steels, stainless steel, aluminum, and magnesium
- Human Factors, WHMIS, CCAA, or Canadian Aviation Regulation training
- Any progress toward Red Seal or AWS D17.1/D17.2 certification
