*Summary*
Responsible for applying precision-cut protective films to luxury and high-end watches to prevent scratches, scuffs, and wear. Work requires steady hands, attention to detail, and knowledge of watch materials to install films without damaging the timepiece or affecting aesthetics.
*Key Responsibilities*
- *Film Application*: Install TPU, tempered glass, or custom protective films on watch cases, bracelets, crystals, and bezels using wet or dry application methods.
- *Surface Prep*: Clean and degrease watches using microfiber cloths, alcohol solutions, and dust removers. Ensure zero contaminants before application.
- *Precision Cutting*: Operate plotting/cutting software like Protector, adobe illustrator, or WatchArmorSG systems to cut films for specific watch models. Adjust templates when needed.
- *Quality Control*: Inspect for bubbles, misalignment, lifting edges, or visible seams. Reapply if standards aren’t met. Ensure film is invisible after install.
- *Customer Service*: Advise clients on film types, care instructions, and warranty terms. Handle luxury watches valued at
- *Inventory Management*: Track film stock, cutting blades, and application solutions. Report when materials need reordering.
- *Documentation*: Log services performed, warranty details, and take before/after photos for records.
*Required Skills & Qualifications*
- *Experience*: 6+ months in watch handling, PPF installation, vinyl wrapping, or phone screen protector application. Watch industry experience preferred.
- *Technical Skills*: Proficiency with plotter/cutting machines and design software. Knowledge of Rolex, AP, Patek, Richard Mille case geometries.
- *Manual Dexterity*: Extremely steady hands and strong near vision. Comfortable working under magnification.
*Material Knowledge*: Understanding of stainless steel, ceramic, gold, titanium, and coated surfaces. Know which adhesives are safe for each.
*Traits*: Patience, cleanliness, and obsessive attention to detail. Customer-facing professionalism.
*Work Environment*
Dust-free workshop, luxury retail store, or service center. Usually seated at a clean bench with task lighting and magnification.
*Physical Requirements*
Ability to sit and focus on small parts for extended periods
