About the Opportunity
The Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure is seeking a motivated and experienced Team Leader Accounting Operations to join the Finance and Procurement Services Directorate.
In this role, you will lead and manage an Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable team within the Accounting Services Branch. You will oversee daily payables and/or receivables activities, provide timely and accurate advice to internal and external customers, and support the delivery of effective reconciliation, reporting and compliance services.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong accounts payable and/or receivable experience who enjoys supervising a team, supporting customers, improving processes and contributing to the delivery of high-quality accounting services in a public sector environment.

Supervise and support a team to deliver effective accounts payable and/or accounts receivable services.
Apply sound knowledge of payables and receivables processes, procedures and financial systems.
Interpret and apply policies, procedures and financial guidelines accurately.
Provide clear, timely and customer-focused advice to internal and external stakeholders.
Liaise and collaborate effectively across teams to support coordinated accounting services.
Undertake reconciliation, reporting and compliance activities with accuracy and attention to detail.
Analyse issues, solve problems and recommend practical process improvements.
Use Microsoft Office products confidently, including intermediate Excel skills.
