We are looking for a Senior/Lead Data Analyst to join our team and contribute to one of Europe's leading online automotive marketplaces, serving 30+ million monthly users across 18 countries. This is a fully remote position, within the Toronto, Canada timezone overlap.
As a Senior/Lead Data Analyst, you will play a key role in driving data-informed marketing decisions while supporting strategic business initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions (M\&A). Working closely with marketing, product, engineering, and analytics teams, you will help integrate data across multiple organizations, harmonize KPIs and reporting, and deliver actionable insights that improve marketing performance across channels and brands.
This role sits at the intersection of marketing, analytics, and business strategy. You will partner with senior stakeholders to translate complex business challenges into scalable analytical solutions, while leveraging AI tools to improve the speed, quality, and impact of analytics. The team embraces AI as a core part of its daily workflow, and we are looking for someone who shares this mindset.
Responsibilities:
- Support strategic integration and M\&A initiatives by assessing existing data landscapes, integrating marketing data from acquired businesses, aligning KPI definitions, attribution methodologies, and reporting, and ensuring a seamless transition into the client's analytics ecosystem.
- Partner with business, product, engineering, and analytics teams across multiple organizations to identify integration requirements, reconcile data discrepancies, establish scalable reporting solutions, and ensure business continuity throughout integration projects.
- Design and implement scalable data models and pipelines within the client's Data Lake to integrate, harmonize, and manage marketing data across channels, brands, and acquired businesses.
- Build and maintain engaging dashboards to monitor demand, user acquisition, and marketing efficiency, following data visualization best practices to deliver clear and actionable insights.
- Collaborate with fellow analysts to evaluate performance across key platforms — including Google Analytics, Adjust, AppsFlyer, Google Ads, Meta, and Criteo — and translate findings into actionable business recommendations.
- Contribute technical expertise and business judgment to deep-dive analyses and executive reports for senior leadership, and lead cross-functional projects end to end, managing timelines, risks, and stakeholder communication.
- Leverage AI tools and automation to increase the efficiency, quality, and scale of analytical work — from data preparation and insight generation to reporting and stakeholder communication.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in marketing analytics, ideally within online marketplaces or B2C/B2B digital businesses, with a strong understanding of online and app marketing, campaign optimization, and budget allocation.
- Experience supporting large-scale data integration projects, mergers and acquisitions, or complex organizational integrations, including data migration, KPI harmonization, reporting consolidation, and stakeholder management.
- Proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience building data pipelines and ELT workflows using tools such as Airflow and dbt, with familiarity across cloud data platforms such as BigQuery, Redshift, or Snowflake.
- Strong experience with BI and dashboarding tools (Tableau, Amazon QuickSight, Power BI, or similar), combined with a solid understanding of data visualization best practices.
- Deep understanding of Google Analytics, mobile measurement platforms (Adjust, AppsFlyer), and major advertising platforms (Google, Meta, Criteo), including tracking implementations and reporting structures.
- A proven track record of independently leading cross-functional analytics initiatives across multiple business units and navigating complex stakeholder environments during periods of organizational change.
- A proactive approach to integrating AI tools into analytical workflows, with genuine curiosity about how AI can improve the speed, quality, and impact of analytical work.
- Excellent verbal and written English skills.
- Ability to work within the Toronto, Canada timezone (EST/EDT) and collaborate effectively with distributed, international teams.
Nice to have:
- Experience with web and app attribution models.
- Experience with Amazon QuickSight.
- Experience with Google Search Console and Google Tag Manager.
- Experience working with advertising platforms and Mobile Measurement Platforms (MMPs).
