Job Summary

We are expanding and seeking an experienced and high-performing Senior Sales Engineer for our Building Automation division, Intesis. This role reports to the Regional Manager of Building Automation and is based in Riyadh, KSA.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Sales Engineer to join our Intesis team, specializing in building automation and HVAC integration solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, a proven track record in B2B sales, and a deep knowledge of communication protocols like Modbus, BACnet, and KNX. This role requires both commercial and technical expertise to support customers throughout the sales cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will perform the following tasks:

  • Grow our range of Building Automation protocol translator/gateways and Air-conditioning interfaces under the Intesis brand within the Middle East region.
  • Collaborate with the Global Key Account Manager to develop relationships with air-conditioning system manufacturers and their distribution networks.
  • Develop business relationships with Building Management System (BMS) and Smart Home Automation system integrators.
  • Understand customer requirements in HVAC, BMS, and automation, and recommend suitable Intesis products and integration solutions.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, webinars, and technical training for customers, distributors, and system integrators.
  • Act as the technical point of contact throughout the sales cycle—from pre-sales consultation to post-sales support.
  • Identify, qualify, and onboard new channel partners with strategic support from the Regional Manager.
  • Develop and execute channel partner sales growth plans.
  • Collaborate with Product Management to provide market feedback and influence future product development.
  • Support customers with design-in activities, solution architecture, and integration of Intesis products into building automation systems (e.g., Modbus, BACnet, KNX).
  • Assesses competitors by analysing and summarizing market trends and identifying sales opportunities.
  • Build and maintain deep product and application knowledge.
  • Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Coordinate with the marketing team to ensure alignment between sales and promotional activities.
  • Represent Intesis at trade shows and industry events to promote solutions and build relationships.
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM systems (e.g., Dynamics 365) including opportunity tracking and project updates.
  • Accomplishes department and organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • The selected candidate will be based in Riyadh - KSA and part of a professional and motivated team located in Dubai – UAE.

Essential requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Automation, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, technical sales or solution engineering in a B2B environment.
  • Strong understanding of Building Automation communication protocols (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, DALI, KNX) and/or experience working with Air-Conditioning Direct Expansion systems will be an advantage.
  • Strong sales hunter mentality with a start-up mindset.
  • Proficient English (spoken and written); able to communicate technical concepts clearly.
  • Willing and able to travel extensively within the Middle East for customer visits, training, and events.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and a collaborative attitude.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated and able to perform under pressure.
  • Resourceful in solving problems with limited resources; develop solutions to the problems or obstacles that come up in your role.
  • Strong industry network or ability to establish lasting connections.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Valid KSA driving license.
  • Transferable visa or labor clearance from the current/previous employer; availability to join within 1 month (1 month notice period).
  • Access to a personal vehicle.
  • No contractual restrictions (e.g., non-compete clauses) from current or previous employers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Arabic, French, or any additional languages (written and spoken).
  • Prior experience working with GCC BMS and air-conditioning integrators, manufacturers, distributors, MEP contractors, or end-users.
  • Strong knowledge of the GCC commercial and residential sector.
