Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Manager to lead and grow sales across the Australia, New Zealand, Pacific Islands, and Papua New Guinea region. This role is pivotal in driving order intake growth and expanding market presence, while supporting the ANZ Head of Sales in delivering consistent revenue performance.

You will be responsible for managing both existing customer relationships and developing new business opportunities within a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver and exceed bookings, revenue, and profit targets across allocated markets
  • Own and grow the New Zealand market end-to-end
  • Identify, develop, and convert run-rate and new business opportunities
  • Manage the full sales lifecycle from opportunity identification to order fulfilment
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, including key government stakeholders
  • Maintain and report on sales pipeline using CRM and internal business tools
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Programmes, Service, Finance, and Legal teams
  • Utilise SAP for quotations, pipeline management, and order processing
  • Actively contribute to sales and operational review meetings
  • Ensure responsiveness to customer enquiries and ownership of ongoing relationships

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in B2B or B2G sales, primarily within direct sales channels
  • 7–12 years of relevant sales experience in complex environments
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end sales cycles and stakeholder management
  • Experience managing large-scale accounts, including government clients
  • Demonstrated ability in new business development (approx. 40% of role focus)
  • Background in product-led industries such as industrial, equipment, or manufacturing sectors preferred
  • Proficient in CRM systems and pipeline management tools
  • Highly professional, credible, and adaptable across diverse customer segments
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Willingness to travel across Australia and New Zealand as required
