We are looking for a Research Assistant who has been working on advanced ceramics research for at least 3 years. The role will focus on developing novel shaping and sintering techniques of various oxide or carbide ceramics and investigating the processing-structure-properties correlation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research work according to project deliverables which involves preparing ceramic green bodies and exploring sintering processes to optimize grain size and density.
- Comprehensive analysis of materials including density measurement, microstructure analysis and mechanical/thermal properties, etc.
- Draft technical report and manuscript for publication.
- Maintenance of specialized sintering equipment and coordinate procurement with external suppliers.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor degree with second upper honor degree in Materials science and engineering
- At least 3 years of relevant experiences in similar role / technical hands-on experience in advanced ceramics synthesis and characterization
- Familiarity with emerging shaping and sintering techniques of ceramics is preferred.
- Good writing skills for writing proposals, reports and publications in good academic journals
