Registered Nurse

Across Australia Just Better Care provides in-home aged care and disability support services, supporting people to live independently. We are currently looking for community based Registered Nurses to join our QLD team in a casual or part-time capacity. Duties and responsibilities may include:

• Working with or under the guidance of medical practitioners and Allied Health professionals
• Medication Administration and Complex Clinical Care e. palliative care, bowel care/suppositories, catheter care, stoma care, oxygen and more
• Monitoring and communicating on the customer’s wellbeing and reporting on progress of customers
• Ensuring that all services are provided in a caring and respectful way in accordance with Just Better Care’s policy and procedures, legislative requirements and program specific guidelines (i.e. DVA Community Nursing)
• Providing training, coaching and guidance to Community Support Professionals, Enrolled Nurses and Support Staff/Case Managers as required
• Conducting skills assessments of Community Support Professionals performing complex care services as required
• Demonstrating a commitment to best practice and evidence of continued professional development
• Participating in staff meetings and attending training opportunities when required
• Opportunity to work both in the field with our customers, as well as, in the office

What you will need:

• Current AHPRA Registration
• Current CPR / First Aid Certificate
• Current NDIS Screening Check and Blue Card
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence
• Reliable, registered and insured vehicle (comprehensive insurance)
• Proof of Vaccination (where relevant) i.e. COVID-19 vaccination certificate

Desirable:

• Previous experience in the community care or health/aged care sector
• Understanding of DVA Community Nursing guidelines or previous community nursing experience
