Port Loading Operations Foreman

We are looking for an experienced Port Loading Operations Supervisor / Foreman to supervise and coordinate safe, orderly, and timely port loading and unloading operations. The role will coordinate vessel, yard, truck, cargo handling, and documentation activities while ensuring compliance with approved HSE, lifting, and port procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise RORO and LOLO loading and unloading operations for general cargo, vehicles, steel, machinery, and project materials.
• Coordinate with vessel masters, captains, lifting teams, truck drivers, suppliers, shipping agents, and port personnel to ensure smooth cargo operations.
• Organize cargo staging, yard storage, truck flow, and loading/unloading sequences in line with shipment plans.
• Monitor cargo movement between the yard, trucks, and vessels and ensure cargo is handled according to the approved loading plan.
• Check and verify cargo manifests, delivery notes, gate passes, permits, and daily movement records.
• Coordinate manpower, lifting teams, equipment operators, drivers, and other operational resources.
• Monitor vessel and truck turnaround times and report delays, discrepancies, shortages, damages, or operational issues to management.
• Ensure proper cargo segregation, stacking, securing, and storage within designated yard areas.
• Coordinate the availability and safe use of cranes, forklifts, trailers, ramps, and other cargo-handling equipment.
• Enforce approved HSE, lifting, cargo handling, and port operating procedures.
• Conduct or support toolbox talks and ensure personnel understand operational and safety requirements.
• Maintain accurate daily records of cargo movements, manpower, equipment, delays, incidents, and operational activities.
• Coordinate with documentation and operations teams to ensure all required documents are available before cargo movement.
• Liaise with port authorities and relevant stakeholders to resolve operational issues and maintain efficient cargo flow.
• Prepare daily operational updates and report progress, delays, incidents, and discrepancies to management.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of relevant experience in port operations, cargo handling, marine logistics, terminal operations, or a similar role.
• Hands-on experience in RORO and LOLO loading/unloading operations.
• Experience handling general cargo, vehicles, steel, machinery, and project cargo.
• Strong understanding of cargo staging, yard operations, truck coordination, and vessel loading sequences.
• Familiarity with cargo manifests, delivery notes, gate passes, permits, and cargo movement documentation.
• Good knowledge of HSE, lifting operations, cargo securing, and port safety procedures.
• Strong coordination and communication skills with vessel crews, drivers, lifting teams, suppliers, agents, and port personnel.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple activities according to vessel/shipment schedules.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, holidays, and extended hours when required.

Good to Have / Preferred Experience

• Experience in Oil \& Gas (O\&G), refinery, petrochemical, or energy-sector logistics.
• Exposure to refinery/industrial project cargo and heavy-lift logistics.
• Experience with container operations, including container handling and yard coordination.
• Familiarity with LCL (Less than Container Load) cargo operations.
• Previous experience working at UAE ports, terminals, or logistics facilities.
• Exposure to ADNOC ports or ADNOC-related logistics/cargo operations will be an advantage.
• Relevant port operations, cargo handling, lifting, HSE, or safety certifications will be an advantage.
