We are seeking skilled and detail-oriented Welder / Fabricators to join our busy workshop team. In this role, you will be responsible for cutting, shaping, welding, and assembling high-quality metal components from technical drawings. You will also participate in on-site installations, ensuring finished products are fitted safely and precisely according to client specifications.
Key Responsibilities Fabrication \& Welding
- Manufacture and assemble components using a variety of metals (e.g., structural steel, aluminum, stainless steel).
- Perform high-quality welding using MIG and TIG processes, ensuring strong, clean finishes that meet structural standards.
- Operate workshop machinery safely, including brake presses, guillotines, bandsaws, drills, and section rollers.
- Interpret drawings, welding symbols, and blueprints accurately to plan layouts and material cuts.
Site Installation \& Assembly
- Assist with on-site installations of finished fabricated elements, adapting to different site conditions as required.
- Use hand and power tools safely to securely mount, bolt, or field-weld components on-site.
- Work collaboratively with the site team and Leading Hand to complete handovers on time and to a high standard.
Quality \& Safety
- Conduct self-inspections on dimensions, alignment, and weld quality before products leave the workshop bench.
- Adhere to all WHS policies, including the correct use of PPE and safe lifting practices.
Pay: $70,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year

Technical Skills

- Excellent blueprint reading skills with a sharp eye for geometric tolerances and dimensions.
