Position Summary

A leading hospital in Alexandria, Louisiana is seeking a compassionate and experienced Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join its night shift team. In this role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to a diverse acute care population while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care to patients on a Medical/Surgical unit.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital policies.
• Monitor patient conditions, document clinical findings, and communicate changes to the healthcare team.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, safety standards, and nursing best practices.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

Required

• Canadian citizenship.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure in Louisiana.
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical/Surgical nursing experience in an acute care hospital.
• Current BLS certification (or ability to obtain prior to start).
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation \& Benefits

• Hourly Pay: $28.00–$46.00, based on experience and qualifications.
