Casual Role –$28- $36/hr

About Us:

We are a friendly, established GP clinic located in the heart of Woolloongabba, just minutes from the PA Hospital, Brisbane. Our clinic is home to Eight supportive part-time GPs and dedicated nursing staff, all working together to provide quality healthcare to our local community. With a close-knit team of four part-time receptionists, we pride ourselves on our patient-centred approach and supportive work environment.

Your Role:

We are seeking an experienced and efficient Receptionist who will play a vital role in the smooth running and growth of our practice. This is an opportunity for you to lead our administrative team, streamline daily operations, and deliver exceptional service to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee day-to-day reception and administration operations

* Provide hands-on leadership, supervision, and training to a team of four part-time receptionists

* Manage all aspects of patient bookings and triage via Best Practice and Hot Doc software

* Deliver strong, professional customer service both in-person and over the phone

* Ensure high standards of record-keeping, confidentiality, and data security

* Organise staff rosters and leave, support HR administration, and assist with onboarding/offboarding of staff

* Coordinate staff meetings and facilitate effective internal communications

* Maintain and update clinic policies and procedures in line with best practice and regulatory requirements

* Oversee billing, payments, and Medicare claims

* Liaise with GPs, nursing staff, allied health professionals, suppliers, and patients to meet operational needs

* Contribute to the continuous improvement and efficient running of the clinic

What We’re Looking For:

\= Ability to start in next 2-3 weeks.

\= Previous experience in a Senior Receptionist or Practice Manager role in a General Practice (medical clinic) setting

\= Strong working knowledge of Best Practice software and HotDoc is essential

\= Excellent leadership, organisational, and interpersonal skills

\= Sound knowledge of medical reception processes, Medicare billing, and healthcare privacy standards

\= Ability to work collaboratively with GPs, nurses, and administrative staff

\= High level of computer literacy and ability to quickly adapt to our systems (Microsoft Office, etc.)

\= Maturity, professionalism, and the ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion

\= Ability to work independently, problem-solve, and respond calmly in busy or urgent situations

* $28-$36 per hour casual rate for the initial 2 months

* High potential to move to a permanent part-time position after initial 3 months (32 hours per week commitment) after the initial period
