Healing Hands Limited is a registered, home-based massage business located in Windsor, Invercargill. We provide professional massage services in a private, comfortable, and welcoming treatment environment, with a focus on relaxation, deep tissue, and traditional Filipino Hilot massage.

As our client base and service demand continue to grow, we are seeking two experienced and reliable Massage Therapists to join our permanent team at our Invercargill location.

About the Role

The successful applicants will provide high-quality massage treatments tailored to individual client needs while maintaining a professional, respectful, and welcoming client experience.

The role includes providing relaxation, deep tissue, and, where appropriately trained, traditional Filipino Hilot massage treatments.

This is a permanent full-time employee position with guaranteed minimum hours and a structured roster designed to provide consistent employment.

Hours and Roster

• Guaranteed minimum: 30 paid hours per week.
• Maximum: Up to 45 hours per week, depending on client bookings and business demand.
• The clinic operates 7 days per week.
• Employees will generally work a rotating roster of up to 6 days per week, with rostered days off varying according to business requirements.
• Shifts may vary according to bookings and clinic requirements and may generally range from approximately 4.5 to 7.5 hours per shift.
• Rostered shifts may include morning, afternoon, and evening hours, including weekends and public holidays where applicable.
• Additional hours may be offered when client demand requires them, subject to mutual agreement, roster requirements, and applicable employment legislation.
• Management will monitor total hours worked and rostering to support safe working practices and minimize fatigue and excessive working hours.

The guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week applies regardless of fluctuations in client bookings, subject to the terms of the employment agreement and applicable New Zealand employment law.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional relaxation and deep tissue massage treatments tailored to individual client needs.
• Provide traditional Filipino Hilot massage where the therapist has the appropriate knowledge, training, and competence.
• Conduct client consultations to understand relevant physical needs, treatment goals, and information necessary for safe and appropriate treatment.
• Maintain accurate treatment and client records as required by the business.
• Communicate professionally and respectfully with clients.
• Maintain appropriate client privacy, confidentiality, and professional boundaries.
• Prepare and maintain treatment areas before and after appointments.
• Maintain a clean, hygienic, calm, and welcoming treatment environment.
• Follow workplace health, safety, hygiene, and operational procedures.
• Perform reasonable day-to-day clinic duties associated with the massage therapist position.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

Applicants must have:

• At least 3 years of verifiable professional experience as a Massage Therapist.
• Strong practical skills in relaxation and deep tissue massage techniques.
• Good knowledge of safe massage practices and client care.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to conduct professional client consultations.
• A reliable, responsible, and professional approach to work.
• The physical ability to perform massage therapy safely and consistently throughout rostered shifts.
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene, professionalism, client care, and confidentiality.
• Flexibility to work rostered weekends, evenings, and public holidays where required.

Employment and Work Rights
