NUMA Skin \& Body Club is Wellington's boutique skin, health and wellness club. We're looking for a skilled Massage Therapist and/or Intermediate Skin and Beauty Therapist to join our high-performing team. You'll work to a pre-booked diary with clients already looking forward to seeing you, delivering exceptional treatments as part of NUMA's broader skin and wellness offering. We provide training, systems, and support to help you deliver consistent, high-standard care. This is a genuine, flexible role where you'll combine hands-on skill with a real interest in client care and wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver relaxation, remedial, and other contracted massage treatments (lymphatic massage, BNS, pregnancy and Swedish massage) or advanced skin treatments (microneedling, peels, advanced facials, eye maintenance and lifts) as part of NUMA's broader skin and wellness offering
• Work to a pre-booked diary, focusing on delivering exceptional treatments to clients who are already looking forward to seeing you
• Build real, recurring relationships with clients on your book through consistent care and an ongoing relationship
• Cover front-of-house when you're not booked, alongside the rest of the team
• Work within NUMA's systems, hygiene standards, and treatment protocols
• Provide training to help clients achieve the best outcomes through treatment plans and recommendations

About you

• NZQA-qualified (or equivalent) massage therapist, registered with the relevant professional body,

or

• NZQA Level 4 (or equivalent) qualified beauty therapist at intermediate level with typically 3+ years' hands-on experience
• Confident and consistent in relaxation and remedial technique, with bonus points for experience in Firm Swedish or Lymphatic Drainage massage
• Confident and consistent across core facial and skin treatments
• Able to work a minimum of one weekend day, every week, without exception
• Reliable - you show up for your appointment slots, every time
• Genuinely cares about client outcomes and comfort, not just getting through the appointment list
• Comfortable being part of a small, high-standard team, including covering reception when it's quiet
• Coachable – willing to work within NUMA's systems and protocols, and sharpen your craft

We're a small, high-standard team that takes both results and how we treat people seriously. We invest properly in training because we expect a properly high bar in return. You'll be supported, checked in on, and given real feedback – and you'll be trusted to run your own room once you've proven you can.

• 1) Fixed hours part-time (15–20 hrs/week on a fixed roster) or 2) contractor option with higher hourly rate and more flexibility
• Weighted toward weekend and peak-period coverage – Saturday or Sunday, and weekday afternoons from 3pm
• Full onboarding on NUMA's systems, hygiene standards, and treatment protocols before you're running your own room solo
• Room to grow your hours as demand and your availability allows
• Commission on retail and bonus for membership sign-ups

Pay: $25.00 – $40.48 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 20.0 per week
