Beauty Therapist – Full-Time Permanent

R.K.K ENTERPRISES LIMITED is seeking a skilled, professional and customer-focused Beauty Therapist to join our team in Christchurch, Canterbury.

Position Details

• Position: Beauty Therapist
• Location: Christchurch, Canterbury
• Employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Hours: 30 hours per week
• Pay Rate: $25–$35 per hour

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing a range of professional beauty treatments and personalised services to clients. You will assess clients' needs, recommend appropriate treatments and products, and maintain a high standard of customer service, hygiene and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Discuss clients' beauty and skincare needs, analyse skin characteristics and recommend suitable skincare, treatments and make-up.
• Apply general cosmetic and corrective make-up according to clients' requirements.
• Perform manicures and pedicures, including decorative nail art, artificial nail application, nail repair and specialised hand and foot treatments.
• Perform facial and body treatments, including massages and other suitable beauty treatments.
• Provide hair-removal treatments such as waxing, bleaching, tinting and depilation, where appropriately trained.
• Evaluate beauty therapy processes, treatments and products to ensure quality results.
• Receive bookings, arrange appointments and maintain accurate client records.
• Provide professional advice to clients regarding skincare, beauty treatments and cosmetic products.
• Recommend and sell appropriate cosmetic and skincare products.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of treatment rooms, equipment and work areas.
• Follow workplace health and safety, hygiene and operational procedures.
• Provide friendly, professional and personalised service to all clients.

Entry Requirements

• Atleast 2 years of relevant work experience or level 4 or above level qualification required in any field.
• Previous experience as a Beauty Therapist or in a similar role is preferred.
• Sound knowledge of skincare, make-up, manicures, pedicures, waxing and other beauty treatments.
• Good understanding of hygiene, sanitation and workplace health and safety requirements.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to assess clients' needs and recommend suitable treatments and products.
• Good attention to detail and a professional presentation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual and committed to providing high-quality services.
