In the role of Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. Reporting to the director, you will utilize your core skills in classroom management, childcare, and early childhood education to create engaging lesson plans and facilitate learning. Your premium skills in curriculum development and behavior management will enhance the educational experience, while your relevant skills in toddler care and communication will ensure effective interactions with both children and parents. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to toddlers' developmental needs.
- Manage classroom activities and maintain a safe, nurturing environment.
- Foster communication with parents regarding children's progress and behavior.
- Provide individualized care and support for each child, including those with special needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and classroom management strategies.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including first aid readiness.
Qualifications
- CDA or higher education preferred but not required
- Strong classroom management and behavior management skills
- Ability to develop and implement engaging lesson plans and curriculum
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Certification in First Aid and CPR preferred
- Experience working with children with special needs is a plus
- Background in childcare or daycare settings is essential
- 18 years old or older
