We are seeking a motivated Graduate / Junior Systems Administrator to join our IT team in Bella Vista, New South Wales. As a Graduate System Administrator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day support, configuration, and maintenance of our server and endpoint infrastructure. You will work closely with senior administrators to manage Windows and Linux server environments, Active Directory, cloud services, and virtualisation platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • 0 -1 years of experience managing and supporting Windows Server and Linux environments, including patching, system updates, and health monitoring.
  • Manage user accounts, groups, and policies within Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity using ITSM and monitoring tools.
  • Support virtualisation environments including VMware, vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V
  • Assist with backup and disaster recovery procedures, testing, and documentation.
  • Maintain and update system configuration records, SOPs, and asset registers.
  • Respond to escalated system incidents from the Service Desk within agreed SLAs.
  • Support cloud platform administration (Azure, AWS) including basic VM and storage management.
  • Assist in the configuration and maintenance of networking infrastructure including LAN/WAN, switches, routers, and firewalls under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Support the setup, management, and troubleshooting of VPN solutions (site-to-site and remote access) to ensure secure connectivity for users and branch offices.
  • Manage and maintain wireless network environments (Wi-Fi), including access point configuration, SSID management, and wireless performance troubleshooting.

Qualifications:

  • Certificate IV or Diploma in IT (Systems Administration) OR Bachelor of IT / Computer Science
  • Working knowledge of Windows Server administration (2016/2019/2022)
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP
  • Basic knowledge of Linux command line and shell scripting
  • Understanding of virtualisation concepts (VMware or Hyper-V)
  • Foundational understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, and wireless protocols.
  • A methodical approach to documentation and problem resolution

Desirable:

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) or in progress
  • CompTIA Server+, Network+, or Linux+ certification
  • Exposure to PowerShell scripting or automation tools
  • Experience or exposure to a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment — including multi-client support, remote monitoring and management (RMM) tools, and ticketing workflows across diverse customer environments.
