Job Overview
As a Global Product Owner at Emirates NBD, your role is responsible for coordinating with stakeholders across the organisation, as well as working with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Tribe and Squads, to support the delivery of backlog defined in accordance with the strategy defined and aligned with business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the implementation and collaborate with key stakeholders to create new products and enhance wealth offering across regions, segments and channels, with a focus on Execution Only, Advisory and Discretionary Management Portfolios, across global and local equities, mutual funds, bonds, structured products, derivatives and other investment classes.
- Collaborating with relevant stakeholder to benchmark and implement best practices, ensuring our offerings are competitive on a global scale.
- Managing and prioritizing the product backlog, ensuring that the most valuable features are delivered to our customers.
- Working closely with Product Owners and Business Analysts to gather and refine requirements, ensuring that the product vision is clearly communicated and understood.
- Act as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders regarding enhancements and changes in end-to-end processes, assessing solutions, proposing the optimal user experience and promote the efficiency across the organization.
- Engaging with key stakeholders to gather feedback and insights, ensuring that the product meets the needs of our customers and remains competitive in the market.
- Drive the end-to-end implementation and transformation ensuring seamless integration with other applications and services.
- Collaborate with IT, Design, solution architects, and third-party vendors to establish robust API strategies and Data exchange that support efficient, real-time connectivity across all platforms.
- Build and improve automation of critical business processes, identifying manual touchpoints and collaborating with engineering to streamline workflows, reduce operational overhead, and enhance scalability.
- Tracking, measuring, and reporting all data points and key milestones that will support the execution of this strategy, delivering the defined ROI and business impact.
- Ensure strict adherence to all regulatory, risk, compliance and internal governance policies when executing on the platform growth strategy.
- Work in close collaboration with the cybersecurity team to ensure adequate protection to the bank and the customers against cyber and fraud attacks.
- Identify and map new business processes required for the platform to operate, manage stakeholders and liaise with units across the bank as needed.
- Motivate and manage effectively and efficiently the various squads and teams required to deliver the business outcomes.
- Plan user trainings along with HR team, prepare training calendars and ensure that all training pre requisites like training environment, manuals etc. are in place. Ensure that all training materials related to system changes are created well in advance published on the local intranet and knowledge management module also.
Develop professional relationship with stakeholders, including vendors, partners, customers.
Skills and Experience
- Graduate in Engineering, Computer science, Business, Information system, Economics
- Preferred CFA / CSPO / Agile Certification
- At least 5 years of experience in banking
- 3+ years of experience in building integrations with multiple vendors and partners
- 3+ years of experience within wealth management, digital banking or fintech
- Understanding of investment products, operational flows, risk assessments and customer experience
- International exposure is a plus
- Research skills, problem-solving strengths
- Proficient in tools, mainly Jira, Confluence, Figma and Excel
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Excellent technical, analytical and user experience skills in order to help design the products and experiences end to end
- Ability to communicate insights in an engagement with stakeholders at various levels
- Experience in front-end and back-end integration, ideally within financial services.
- Strong understanding of OMS/PMS workflows and architecture
- Knowledge of risk management tools and systems, particularly those supporting Lombard lending and derivatives trading
