About the opportunity:

The Factory Operations Manager reports to the Chief Operating Officer – Supply Chain and ensures strong alignment and communication between factory operations and the NEX building businesses to ensure on time delivery. The key focus of this role is to responsible for the end-to-end performance of Supaloc’s multi-site steel frame manufacturing operations. More specifically, you will:

• Lead and oversee daily, weekly and monthly production performance across all manufacturing facilities.
• Drive standardisation of processes, work instructions and operating rhythms across sites.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on labour efficiency, throughput, waste reduction and OEE.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities suited to a labour-intensive manufacturing environment.
• Manage manufacturing cost performance including labour, materials, overheads and maintenance spend.
• Develop and manage manufacturing budgets, forecasts and capacity plans in alignment with business demand.
• Ensure strong safety leadership, WHS compliance and proactive risk management across all sites.
• Establish and maintain preventative maintenance and asset reliability programs.
• Lead, coach and develop site-based leadership teams and succession plans.
• Work closely with NEX Building Group construction teams to improve communication, planning accuracy and
• delivery outcomes.
• Work with Engineering and R\&D teams to support continuous improvement and new solution.

About you:

You will share a passion for our purpose and be aligned to our core values; better together, be accountable, people matter and think bigger. In addition, you will bring:

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Proven experience leading multi-site manufacturing operations
• Expertise in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement and OEE in practical factory environments.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen with experience managing manufacturing budgets and cost drivers
• Clear communicator who can bridge operational and commercial priorities.
