Grand Station is an award winning events venue, located in the city centre of Wolverhampton.
We are looking for an Event Coordinator to coordinate events.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate all aspects of events, including conferences, weddings, parties, and corporate functions
- Collaborate with clients to determine event requirements and objectives
- Select and book event venues, caterers, and other necessary vendors
- Manage event budgets and ensure all expenses stay within budgetary constraints
- Coordinate event logistics, such as transportation, accommodations, and audiovisual equipment
- Create event timelines and schedules to ensure smooth execution
- Oversee setup, breakdown, and cleanup of event spaces
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure all event details are communicated effectively
- Provide exceptional guest services throughout the duration of events
- Handle any issues or emergencies that may arise during events
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in event coordination or related field preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and event management software
- Knowledge of hotel, catering, banquet, or restaurant industry is a plus
- Experience with fundraising events is a plus
This role is for 30 hours a week, including working one Saturday a month
Pay: £20,000.00-£24,000.00 per year
