Help Power the Future of New Zealand
Southland is on the cusp of one of the most significant industrial and renewable energy transformations in New Zealand's history.
Over the coming decade, major developments including the Hokonui Wind Farm, the proposed Silica Smelter development, and the planned USD $3.5 billion DataGrid Data Centre are expected to create unprecedented demand for skilled electrical professionals across the region.
The challenge is clear: we need to train the next generation of electricians who will build, maintain, and power New Zealand's future.
Southern Institute of Technology (SIT) is seeking FIVE experienced and passionate Electrical Tutors to join our team and play a vital role in developing the workforce that will support these transformational projects.
This is more than a teaching role—it's an opportunity to shape careers, strengthen our communities, and contribute to the future prosperity of Southland and New Zealand.
You will teach Electrical Trades programmes to full-time students and secondary-tertiary learners at our Invercargill campus.
