Job Description

Job Summary

A Site Electrical Engineer directly oversees the day-to-day installation, execution, and supervision of electrical works on a construction site. • Direct site electricians, foremen, and subcontractors to meet daily work targets.
  • Interpret approved shop drawings and ensure site teams execute them accurately.

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for the project manager.
  • Identify potential delays and implement recovery plans to keep work on track.
  • Measure completed quantities of work for subcontractor payment verifications

Technical Coordination

  • Resolve day-to-day technical issues and clashes with civil or mechanical layouts.
  • Raise Requests for Information (RFIs) to the design team when drawings lack clarity.
  • Coordinate with the site surveyor to establish accurate reference points for equipment placement.
  • Assist the procurement team by raising material requisitions based on site needs.

Safety and Quality Control

  • Enforce strict site safety protocols to prevent electrical and construction hazards.
  • Conduct daily toolbox talks with the workforce regarding safe working practices.
  • Coordinate with the QA/QC team to raise Inspection Requests (IRs) for completed works.
  • Ensure all installations comply with the project specifications and approved method statements

Testing and Handover

  • Support the testing and commissioning team during the final startup of electrical systems.
  • Mark up red-line drawings on site to reflect the exact "As-Built" conditions.
  • Help clear punch list items to secure final handing over certificates from the consultant.
