Role Description

The Marketing Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Batu Pahat. This position supports day-to-day marketing activities, including assisting with promotional campaigns, preparing basic marketing materials, and coordinating with vendors or partners as needed. The Marketing Assistant will help conduct simple market research, collect and organize customer feedback, and support sales initiatives with up-to-date product or service information.

Responsibilities include responding to customer inquiries, maintaining records of customer interactions, and helping ensure a positive customer experience. The role also involves assisting with social media updates, creating content for digital platforms, basic reporting on marketing activities, and collaborating with the broader team to execute marketing and sales plans.

In addition, the Marketing Assistant is expected to assist in content creation, including shooting photos and videos for social media and marketing purposes, as well as editing video content using basic video editing software to produce engaging and professional content.

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal and Communication skills for working with customers, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Ability to support Market Research activities, including gathering, organizing, and summarizing customer and competitor information.
  • Customer Service skills to handle inquiries, resolve basic issues, and maintain a professional, customer-focused attitude.
  • Sales and Sales \& Marketing skills to assist with promotions, upselling, and coordination of campaigns.
  • Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with email, spreadsheets, and social media platforms.
  • Knowledge of photography, videography, and video editing for social media content creation.
  • Ability to shoot and edit videos using smartphones, cameras, and basic editing software such as CapCut, Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar tools.
  • Ability to stay organized, manage time effectively, and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn, take initiative, and work on-site in Batu Pahat as part of a collaborative team.

Previous experience in marketing, retail, content creation, or customer-facing roles is an advantage but not strictly required.

Pay: RM1,900.00 - RM2,100.00 per month
