What you'll be doing The Clinical Support Administrator provides administrative support for a health care team on a designated ward/unit under the management** of the Nursing Unit Manager (NUM). The Clinical Support Administrator works under broad supervision, and is given scope to exercise initiative in the application of established work practices and procedures to achieve excellent customer service within the unit (patients/families and staff).   • Certificate III in Health Administration (or equivalent); or demonstrated relevant administration experience; or a combination of study and work experience.
  • Ability to work effectively as a key member of a multi-disciplinary health team to enable the provision of excellent customer service.
  • Excellent communication skills inclusive of competence in spoken and written English.
  • Ability to deal confidently and courteously with people who may be distressed, people from diverse backgrounds and health care staff from different positions and levels.
  • Demonstrated experience in use of Information Systems, including patient administration systems, word processing, email, databases and preparation and use of spreadsheets.
  • Ability to prioritise own workload to meet both position and team requirements.
  • A demonstrated ability to resolve workplace issues or problems by use of problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work on a rotating roster (if relevant and required). Child Safe Standards:
