Barista Cashier

Duties

• Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages such as coffee, tea, smoothies, and specialty drinks with precision and care.
• Operate POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales accurately and efficiently.
• Handle cash transactions, process payments, give change, and balance cash drawers at the end of shifts.
• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders promptly, and addressing inquiries professionally.
• Maintain cleanliness of the café area by cleaning equipment, counters, tables, and food prep zones in accordance with food safety standards.
• Assist with food handling and food preparation tasks to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
• Manage retail sales transactions smoothly while supporting team members during busy periods to ensure a seamless customer experience.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service or café environments is preferred; barista experience is highly valued.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for processing transactions confidently.
• Strong skills in cash handling, math, and basic accounting to ensure accurate transaction processing.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and effective communication abilities.
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
• Time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours and ensure timely beverage preparation and service.
