- Conduct thorough clinical examinations and consultations for dogs and cats
- Diagnose and develop appropriate treatment plans for a wide range of medical conditions
- Perform and assist with routine and emergency surgical and dental procedures under the direction of the Senior Veterinarian
- Administer vaccinations, medications, and treatments in accordance with clinic protocols and UAE regulatory standards
- Collect, process, and interpret diagnostic samples such as blood samples etc
- Operate and interpret results from diagnostic imaging equipment (X-ray, ultrasound) where available
- Prescribe medications responsibly and maintain accurate pharmaceutical records in compliance with MOCCAE guidelines
- Communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and prognoses clearly and empathetically to pet owners
- Maintain accurate, detailed medical records for all patients using the clinic's practice management system
Patient \& Inpatient Care
- Monitor the health and welfare of hospitalized and boarded animals, conducting daily checks and escalating concerns promptly
- Develop, communicate and oversee post-operative and recovery care plans for surgical patients
- Ensure appropriate pain management and supportive care protocols are followed at all times
Clinic Operations \& Compliance
- Adhere to all MOCCAE regulations, UAE veterinary practice laws, and clinic standard operating procedures
- Manage and maintain clinical supplies, pharmaceutical stock, grooming stock and equipment in a safe and organized manner
- Support the implementation of infection control, hygiene, and biosafety protocols across the clinic
- Actively contribute to clinic improvement initiatives, service development initiatives and revenue development initiatives
- Communicate with potential customers using channels such as WhatsApp converting them to confirmed appointments
- Maintain a professional, courteous, and client-focused manner at all times
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc), Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), or equivalent degree from a recognized institution
- Minimum 3 years of post-qualification clinical experience in a small animal veterinary clinic
- Experience working in a UAE or GCC veterinary practice
- Competence in small animal medicine, surgery, and preventive care — specifically dogs and cats
- Currently present in the UAE on a valid Visit Visa, Residence Visa, or Employment Visa
- Eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner with MOCCAE (Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, UAE) — candidates already registered are strongly preferred
- Strong diagnostic, clinical decision-making, and surgical skills
- Excellent communication skills in English — both written and spoken
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and compassion for animal welfare
- Ability to work effectively as part of a small, close-knit clinical team
Preferred (not mandatory)
- Active MOCCAE veterinary practitioner license at the time of application
- Postgraduate training or certification in a relevant discipline (e.g. surgery, dentistry, internal medicine, dermatology)
- Proficiency in Arabic, Hindi, Urdu, or Tagalog — advantageous given our diverse client community
