Job Description

The role

As our newest Manager you will join the Assessing Management team and you will lead Assessing teams with a focus on building a commercially sound strategy and maintaining the consistent controls and operating rhythms that drive performance.

You'll provide clear direction, coaching and development to your team — ensuring every member understands their role, owns their accountability and has the skills to deliver against business objectives.

This role will require semi-regular interstate travel.

What you’ll be doing

  • Be directly responsible for leading, coaching and developing the Desktop Home Assessing Team, driving high performance against KPIs, service standards and compliance requirements
  • Act as key liaison for internal and external stakeholders, collaborating across the end-to-end Home value chain to deliver against overall business objectives
  • Work closely with the Commercial Manager to vet, procure and govern supplier services within appropriate contractual and compliance frameworks
  • Monitor, audit and manage supplier performance nationally, ensuring adequate capacity, coverage and adherence to procurement protocols and best practice standards
  • Act as escalation point for complex negotiations and high-profile disputes, working closely with the Claims Operations Team
  • Identify and report on key trends, risks and opportunities within the Home Assessing \& Supply team and broader Building Repair industry
  • Lead the team through Change Programs while maintaining strong knowledge of market developments, regulatory requirements, systems and products

Qualifications \& Experience

  • Extensive management experience, including leading teams \& having accountability of business results, minimum of 5 years preferred
  • Strong knowledge of the Home Assessing, Building Repair \& Restoration environment and associated market practices and standards
  • Strong commercial acumen and proven capability in the development and execution of strategic programs of work
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate with stakeholders of all levels, along with accurate report writing
