Amazing Kid’z Christian Academy is seeking a Lead Teacher that is dependable, organized, and creative teacher for our 2-year-old classroom.
The ideal candidate enjoys working with toddlers and understands that young children learn through play, movement, music, hands-on activities, and consistent routines. We are looking for someone who is patient, attentive, and able to create a positive classroom environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment.
- Plan and provide age-appropriate activities that support learning through play.
- Use music, movement, and transitional songs to help children move comfortably between activities and routines.
- Support children's social, emotional, language, cognitive, and physical development.
- Keep the classroom clean, organized, and safe.
- Maintain consistent daily routines and provide positive guidance.
- Supervise children at all times.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and coworkers.
- Communicate with families regarding children's daily experiences.
- Follow Texas Child Care Licensing requirements and academy policies.
- Work cooperatively with other teachers and staff.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous childcare experience preferred, but not required.
- CDA is preferred but not required.
- Must be organized, dependable, patient, and creative.
- Must enjoy working with 2-year-old children.
- Must be comfortable incorporating play, music, movement, and transitional songs into the classroom.
- Must be able to plan creative, age-appropriate activities.
- Must pass a background check.
- Pediatric CPR/First Aid/AED certification is a plus. Training may be available.
