About Us

Beaty Fleet Services Ltd (sister company to John Beaty Transport Ltd) is a busy and growing commercial vehicle maintenance business providing inspection, servicing, repairs, diagnostics, tachograph calibrations and MOT preparation for HGVs, trailers, and commercial vehicles.

Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Workshop Administrator team member to help manage the day-to-day administrative operations of our workshop.

The Role

This is a varied and fast-paced role, providing administrative support to the workshop team and acting as a key point of contact for customers, suppliers, and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answering incoming telephone calls and customer enquiries.
  • Processing workshop job cards through to invoicing.
  • Booking customer vehicles into the workshop.
  • Liaising with mechanics, customers, and suppliers.
  • Ordering parts and managing supplier communications.
  • Monitoring and maintaining workshop stock levels.
  • Processing customer paperwork and service records.
  • Updating customer portals and workshop management systems.
  • Assisting with invoicing and administration using Xero.
  • General office and administrative duties as required.

About You

We are looking for someone who is organised, reliable, and able to work effectively in a busy workshop environment.

Essential Requirements

  • Strong computer and IT skills.
  • Good communication and organisational abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workloads.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Professional and friendly manner when dealing with customers and suppliers.

Desirable (but not Essential)

  • Understanding of HGVs, trailers, or commercial vehicle maintenance.
  • Previous experience within a workshop, transport, engineering, or fleet environment.

Full training will be provided for the successful candidate.
