Warehouse Operative

Checking that the items delivered are in good shape, no visible damage or breakage, and that the delivery description matches the order

Ensuring that all goods that are loaded or unloaded match the relevant paperwork

Taking responsibility for a company’s freight and assets by reporting any suspicious activity at work

Reporting any damaged or missing goods to Purchasing Manager

Collecting items from the warehouse and the Retail shop, preparing and completing warehouse orders for delivery or pickup according to a schedule

Loading and Unloading Deliveries

Assisting with the unloading of vehicles for the installers

Delivering Product to Installers or Customer

Returns monitoring \& communication to Purchasing Manager

Sorting and placing materials or items on to racks, and shelves

Keeping the warehouse environment clean and tidy and maintaining equipment

Following workplace health and safety rules when handling goods

Ensuring efficient operations by adhering to operational procedures, rules and schedules

Stock counting and location checks.

Ordering of goods for day to day needs of the warehouse operation

Monitoring of Stock Levels to ensure stock availability

Keeping the warehouse and the yard area clean and tidy

Treating merchandise with care and concern at all time

Key Skills

Previous warehousing or Logistics Experience in a warehouse would be an advantage

Attention to detail

Basic IT Skills or experience of sage line 50 or similar software

Self Motivated with the ability to work with minimum direction

Follow appropriate instructions from your supervisor

A can-do customer-focused attitude.

Fluent English Speaker

Valid Drivers License B

Valid counterbalance forklift cert - Desirable

Valid manual handling cert

Health \& Safety best practice
