Duties

  • Assist veterinarians with animal examinations, treatments, and procedures to ensure smooth clinic operations
  • Prepare examination rooms and surgical areas, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for procedures
  • Handle client interactions at the front desk, including appointment scheduling, check-ins, and answering inquiries with professionalism and warmth
  • Collect and record patient histories, vital signs, and laboratory samples accurately to support diagnosis and treatment plans
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and perform basic laboratory tests; laboratory experience is highly valued to ensure precise results
  • Educate pet owners on post-treatment care, medication administration, and preventive health measures
  • Support inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring medication levels

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a veterinary setting or laboratory environment is preferred; laboratory experience is especially beneficial
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to connect empathetically with clients and team members
  • Ability to multitask efficiently in a lively environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Comfortable handling animals of various sizes and temperaments with compassion and confidence
  • Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to evolving clinic protocols
