The Role

The Veterinary Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting veterinarians in our clinic, ensuring the well-being of animals through daily interactions and tasks.

As a Veterinary Assistant, you’ll be right at the heart of the clinic. Some days are hands-on. Some days are client-facing. Most days are a mix of both.

You’ll support our veterinarians and technicians while helping pets feel safe and pet parents feel informed.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assisting veterinarians during exams and treatments
  • Safely handling and restraining pets when needed
  • Preparing exam rooms and treatment areas
  • Supporting surgical and diagnostic procedures under supervision
  • Administering medications as directed
  • Cleaning and sanitizing equipment and workspaces
  • Updating medical records and client information
  • Answering client questions with care and clarity
  • Stocking and organizing supplies
  • Helping keep the clinic running smoothly, start to finish

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with animals is a big plus
  • Veterinary assistant or clinic experience is an asset, but not required
  • Calm, caring, and confident around pets
  • Comfortable talking to clients and explaining things simply
  • Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to keep calm in stressful, emergency situations and keep the team together.
  • Reliable, team-oriented, and eager to learn
  • Ready to be a part of a calm and a happy team.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and handle animals safely
  • Standing and moving throughout the day
  • Comfort working in a clinical environment
