Vet assistant/ cleaner for veterinary clinic

Job Summary

​We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and detail-oriented Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support our veterinarians providing high-quality medical care while ensuring a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for clients and their pets. You will be responsible for assisting with exams, handling animals for procedures, maintaining facility cleanliness, and managing basic administrative tasks.

​Key Responsibilities

​Clinical Assistance \& Patient Handling

• ​Restraint: Safely and effectively restrain dogs, cats, and other small animals for examinations, vaccinations, and blood draws.
• ​Procedure Prep: Assist veterinarians and technicians during surgical procedures and treatments by preparing instruments, shaving surgical sites, and positioning patients.
• ​Sanitization: Sterilize surgical equipment and instruments (autoclave) and ensure exam rooms are disinfected between patients.

​Patient Care

• ​Monitoring: Observe hospitalized pets for changes in behavior, appetite, or vitals and immediately report concerns to the medical team.
• ​Basic Care: Feed, walk, and bathe boarding or hospitalized animals; clean cages, kennels, and runs daily.
• ​Medication: Administer oral or topical medications as directed by the veterinarian (depending on local regulations and training).

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
