Job Summary: We are seeking skilled and experienced Truck Drivers to join our team. This role involves transporting goods efficiently and safely, ensuring compliance with transport laws, and maintaining vehicle integrity. Successful candidates will be responsible for loading and unloading goods, keeping accurate records, and ensuring timely deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:

Transport Operations:

· Drive heavy trucks, requiring a specially endorsed Class 4 or 5 licence.

· Maneuver vehicles for safe loading and unloading.

· Ensure proper weight distribution and secure goods to prevent loss or damage.

· Check the condition of the load and make sure it's secure.

· Keep appropriate records of and check invoices for materials they are carrying.

Vehicle Maintenance \& Safety:

· Conduct routine vehicle checks and ensure compliance with road safety regulations.

· Perform basic mechanical inspections and report issues promptly.

· Applicant should have basic knowledge of the mechanics of the truck and how to maintain it.

· Must pass company induction.

· Knowledge of emergency procedures and how to handle hazardous conditions.

· Commitment to health, safety, and compliance standards.

· High standard of personal presentation and health \& safety practices.

Documentation \& Compliance:

· Maintain logbooks of driving hours and trip details.

· Verify loading documents and obtain delivery certifications.

· Follow transport laws, industry regulations, and emergency procedures.

· Knowledge of transport law and related industry law.

Work Conditions:

· Must be available for early mornings, late evenings, and weekend shifts.

· Willingness to travel long distances and stay overnight when required.

· Work on a rotating shift schedule (day \& night).

· Relevant truck driving experience in New Zealand is preferable.

Qualifications \& Experience:

· Driving experience of 1 year or more preferred.

· Mandatory Class 5 NZ Driver Licence (or equivalent overseas licence eligible for conversion).

· Proven experience in operating long-haul and overnight transport runs.

· Willingness to work variable schedules, including overnight stays, late-night dispatches, weekend shifts, and public holidays as needed.

· Clean driving and criminal record (police vetting required).

· Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.

· Mechanical aptitude to carry out basic vehicle troubleshooting and safety checks.

· Able to work in rural and remote locations with limited-service access.

· Ability to lift heavy goods and manage physical tasks (up to 25 kg).

· Strong GPS and route navigation skills, with flexibility to adapt to real-time traffic and road conditions.

· Sound understanding of transport compliance, logbooks, and chain of responsibility requirements.
