Truck Driver

A truck driver's primary responsibility is the safe and efficient transport of goods from origin to destination. Their daily duties span operating heavy vehicles, managing cargo, and maintaining legal compliance.

Core Responsibilities

• Vehicle Operation: Drive trucks safely, navigating planned routes while strictly adhering to local traffic laws and speed limits.
• Loading and Securing: Load and unload cargo. Ensure loads are correctly distributed, tied down, and meet height, weight, and width specifications to prevent shifting or damage.
• Inspections and Maintenance: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (checking tires, brakes, fluid levels, and lights). Report mechanical issues to maintenance teams and perform basic upkeep like refueling and cleaning.
• Documentation: Keep accurate logbooks, delivery dockets, and timesheets to comply with regulatory requirements and ensure accurate mileage/fuel records.
• Communication: Coordinate with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers to ensure timely deliveries and manage any unexpected route obstructions or delays.
• Compliance: Maintain a valid, appropriate class of commercial driver's license

Pay: $30.00 – $32.00 per hour
