Temporary Sales Assistant

We currently have a vacancy for a six-month temporary sales assistant in-store (40 hour per week over 5 days, including Saturdays)

Previous experience working in retail is preferred but not essential as training will be given

Temporary Full-Time Sales Assistant Job Description / 40 hours per week / 9am to 5:30pm

Key Responsibilities

· Customer Service: Greeting customers / providing advice / answering the phone / measuring and cutting the tweed

· Sales & Transactions: Operating tills, processing cash/card payments, and handling returns or exchanges.

· Stock Management: Unpacking deliveries, restocking shelves, rotating inventory, and performing stock takes.

· Merchandising: Ensuring shelves are tidy, creating displays, and updating prices.

· Store Maintenance: Cleaning/dusting/mopping/vacuuming and organising the shop floor and storage areas.

Required Skills and Qualifications

· Communication: Strong verbal skills to engage with customers and team members.

· Interpersonal Skills: Friendly, polite, and approachable attitude.

· Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, climb stairs and lift stock

· Numerical Skills: Comfortable with cash handling and POS technology.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From £13.50 per hour
