Join our Core Tribe as a Technical Consultant - SRE and help shape the Entitlements layer by building the Entitlements engine needed to migrate legacy functions and enable modernisation that powers ASB's digital experiences.

As a Technical Consultant, you will act as both a hands-on architect and a strategic leader, you will guide teams, make key technical decisions, and help define solutions that deliver real value for our customers.

You'll bring significant public cloud DevOps engineering, solution design experience, and solid IT infrastructure experience. You will have to be comfortable with designing, configuring and maintaining cloud platform technologies. Automating implementation, configuration, and deployment processes is also part of the role.

We advocate for T-Shaped teams, where you will engage in all facets of engineering throughout your day. We are seeking a Technical Consultant with a diverse mix of technical skills to support the following activities:

• Azure solution design and implementation
• Automate and support infrastructure deployments in Azure and On-prem with infrastructure-as-code solutions.
• Automate security remediation and detection processes, develop documentation - SOP \& Knowledge base, dashboards and reporting.
• Continuously improve processes and solutions to be scalable and highly available.
• Support activities associated with the migration and upgrade of the SaaS platform.
• Monitoring, alerting and reporting of environments.
• Design and Implement Cloud environments.
• Meet with internal stakeholders to discuss the technical requirements for your services and communicating this back to the team
• Work collaboratively and comfortably taking ownership of work/issues that deliver to user/business outcomes.

You're a proactive problem solver with strong technical leadership and communication skills. You're confident gathering requirements, designing pragmatic solutions, and presenting technical concepts to diverse audiences.

What you bring

To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:

• Experience in NoSQL graph database (Preferably Neo4j)
• Experience in creating and maintaining GHES/Azure/Octopus CICD pipelines and GIT/TFS source control.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (one or all the following: Terraform; BICEP), CI/CD pipelines (especially ADO), version control systems (Git).
• Experience creating Kibana dashboards and alerts for exception and health monitoring
• Experience with private cloud architecture, infrastructure and management
• Prior experience with automation process and orchestration tools. Build, Release and management of the configuration of all production systems.
• Experience working within Agile and DevOps frameworks and has a good understanding of cloud adoption framework.
• Enterprise networking and Security knowledge.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (can balance the level of technical detail for the right audience, and can clearly articulate problem statements).
• Azure certification AZ-104, AZ400, AZ-500 and AZ700 are preferred.
