Systems Testing/QA Specialist - Senior

We are seeking an experienced Systems Testing/QA Specialist - Senior to support large-scale, complex application development and cloud-based initiatives. The successful candidate will have strong hands-on experience in web application testing, cloud-based systems analysis, SQL/PLSQL data validation, end-to-end ETL/data migration testing, and Azure DevOps.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing comprehensive testing strategies, preparing detailed test plans and scenarios, executing functional and non-functional testing, and ensuring application and data quality throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

MUST-HAVE REQUIREMENTS (Strictly Required)

Candidates must clearly demonstrate hands-on experience in all or most of the following areas:

Large & Complex Application Development Projects

• Proven experience working on large, complex application development projects.
• Strong experience with web-based applications is preferred.
• Experience supporting testing activities throughout the full application development lifecycle.
• Ability to work effectively with developers, business analysts, architects, data teams, and project stakeholders.

Business & Systems Analysis in Cloud Environments

• Demonstrated experience performing business and systems analysis within a cloud environment.
• Ability to analyse business and technical requirements and translate them into comprehensive testing approaches.
• Experience identifying system dependencies, integration points, risks, and potential impacts.

SQL / PL/SQL & Database Validation

• Proven hands-on experience using SQL/PLSQL tools to review, query, extract, and validate data from databases.
• Experience developing SQL queries to support:
• Data validation
• ETL testing
• Data migration testing
• Defect investigation
• Data reconciliation
• Strong understanding of database structures and data integrity.

End-to-End Data Migration & ETL Testing

• Proven experience developing end-to-end data migration and ETL test plans.
• Experience creating and executing:
• ETL test scenarios
• Functional test scenarios
• Integration workflows
• Data validation and reconciliation scenarios
• Ability to validate data throughout the complete migration lifecycle.

Comprehensive Functional & Non-Functional Testing

Hands-on experience developing test plans, scenarios, and test cases for:

• Web-Based UI Testing
• Functional Testing
• Regression Testing
• Smoke Testing
• Integration Testing
• Performance Testing
• Load Testing
• Stress Testing
• Ability to define appropriate testing strategies based on application requirements, risks, and business priorities.

Azure DevOps & Test Script Execution

• Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps or an equivalent enterprise test management tool.
• Experience creating and executing:
• Test scripts
• Test cases
• Test scenarios
• Test suites
• Defect records
• Test execution reports
• Ability to track testing progress, document results, and communicate defects and risks to project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive QA strategies and test plans for complex application development and data migration initiatives.
• Design and execute functional, integration, regression, smoke, performance, load, and stress testing.
• Develop end-to-end ETL and data migration test scenarios and validate migrated data using SQL/PLSQL.
• Perform web-based UI testing and validate application functionality against business requirements.
• Create, maintain, and execute test scripts using Azure DevOps or equivalent tools.
• Analyse test results, identify defects, and work with development teams to support timely resolution.
• Participate in defect reviews, testing status meetings, and technical discussions.
• Provide testing status, risks, issues, and quality metrics to project stakeholders.
• Ensure testing activities are aligned with project timelines, quality standards, and SDLC processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based application environments.
• Experience with enterprise-scale data migration projects.
• Knowledge of ETL/data integration tools and technologies.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
• Experience working with enterprise QA and test management processes.

Pay: $55.00-$65.00 per hour
