Your key accountabilities
The core capability requirements for this role are:
Provide effective administration and financial support services for operating system (OS) environments, including reporting and advice on relevant policies and procedures, to ensure compliance with governance standards.
Monitor and maintain critical SES operating system platforms and applications, investigate system issues or faults, identify risks and vulnerabilities, and recommend or implement solutions to ensure stable progression to production.
Conduct audits, quality assurance, and analysis of SES operating system environments, supporting infrastructure, and associated services (including service provider performance) to ensure data integrity, system reliability, business continuity, and that configurations, updates, and changes meet operational and security requirements.
With a continuous improvement focus, provide advice on project initiatives, policies, and procedural issues relating to operating systems, including their impact on volunteer training and operational systems, to support sound business planning and decision-making.
Prepare and review reports, briefings, and correspondence relating to operating system performance, incidents, risks, and compliance requirements to support ongoing capability development within SES.
Research, analyse, evaluate, and interpret system and operational data (including OS performance metrics and usage trends) to support volunteer program outcomes and system improvements.
Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate and implement operating system-related service delivery activities, processes, policies, and planning.
Represent the department and SES as a subject matter resource in operating systems at working groups, meetings, and forums, and support the negotiation of outcomes relating to system performance, enhancements, and service delivery.
