Job Overview:We are looking for an experience Subcon Manager for managing and overseeing all aspects of subcontractor relationships and contracts on behalf of the organization. Candidate should have strong communication and negotiation skills, be detail-oriented, and possess a strong understanding of contract management and project management principles.Objectives:Relationship management:

  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with subcontractors and ensuring timely and quality delivery of their services or products.
  • Identify areas of improvement whenever required such as upgrading of tool, conducting more thorough due diligence, including reference checks and verifying certifications.

Performance Management

  • Conducting regular performance evaluations of subcontractors and making recommendations for improvements or termination as necessary.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitoring subcontractor performance against these KPIs, as well as streamlining the contract approval process to avoid delays.

Project Management

  • Planning , budgeting, scheduling and risk management understanding for project management.
  • To evaluate together with subcontractor on possibility of new product set up. Minimize high rates of scrap and yield loss.

Accountabilities:Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Data analysis is critical for measuring and evaluating subcontractor performance. Data should be collected and analyzed regularly for areas of improvement.
  • Work with internal team to make sure forecasted volumes and ensure subcontractor is able to commit to capacity needed.

Compliance

  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and ethical standards is critical for avoiding legal or reputational risks.
  • Conducting research on relevant regulations and staying up-to-date on any changes or updates.

Responsibililties:

  • Developing and implementing subcontractor management strategies and policies.
  • Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and managing any disputes or issues that arise.
  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with subcontractors and ensuring timely and quality delivery of their services or products.
  • Conducting regular performance evaluations of subcontractors and making recommendations for improvements or termination as necessary.
  • Collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of subcontractor services into project workflows

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or any related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in subcontractor management, supply chain, or procurement, preferably within the manufacturing industry of security technology, electronics, or Payments
  • Proven track record in managing subcontractor relationships and contracts, including negotiation, performance monitoring, and dispute resolution.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
  • Hands-on experience defining and tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to evaluate subcontractor performance.
  • Solid background in data analysis and reporting to support decision-making and identify areas of improvement.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to supply chain and subcontractor operations.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin (spoken and written) is preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills

  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate supply chain operations and interpret complex data and align with subcontractor.

  • A Subcon Manager should have strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and inspire teams, delegate tasks effectively and manage conflict.
