Job Description

Central High Rise Ltd provides an extensive range of working at height specialist services including steeplejack, rope access, abseiling, demolition, lightning protection, fall protection systems, high rise building maintenance and inspection to a varied spectrum of clients throughout the UK.

Central High Rise currently has an excellent opportunity for a safety-focused Steeplejack Mate/Lightning Protection Mate or Labourer with working at height experience, construction site skills and a practical approach to high rise maintenance projects.

Central High Rise offers a clear path to continuous development, practical training and long-term career progression for a Steeplejack Mate / Lightning Protection Mate who is keen to build specialist technical skills.

Main duties include attending our Nottingham offices on a regular basis where you will be instructed to carry out a variety of work at height, according to individual job specifications, following instructions on the method statement and risk assessment.

You will be required to assist and follow instructions as given by the Steeplejack / Lightning Protection Foreman working at various sites nationwide.

The ability to work away from home when required is essential and will be needed on a regular basis.

Essential Criteria

  • Proven experience in working at height
  • Ability to identify risk and assess jobs appropriately
  • Valid CSCS card, safety passport or working at height competency
  • A focus on safety and quality in all aspects of your work
  • Strong communication skills
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Flexible and dynamic approach to all tasks
  • Willingness to learn and develop within the company
  • Punctual, trustworthy and reliable
  • UK driving licence
  • Valid passport

Desirable

  • NVQ Level 2 qualified or equivalent
  • IRATA qualification

  • A strong work ethic and enthusiasm for learning

  • Enjoy working outdoors in all weathers
  • Willingness to get stuck in and a friendly helpful attitude
