In this role, you’ll contribute to the design, development, and ongoing enhancement of our high security products used by customers around the world. Working in a collaborative, cross-functional squad, you’ll help deliver high-quality software solutions across both front-end, back-end, and embedded systems. You’ll contribute to technical design, tackle complex problems with support from senior team members, and continue developing your skills while helping keep our products robust, scalable, and secure.About You You’re an experienced software engineer with 3+ years of preferably commercial product software development who enjoys building high-quality solutions and tackling complex technical challenges. You bring a collaborative mindset, strong problem-solving ability, and a passion for continuous learning and improvement. Some of the skills and experience we are keen to see include: C++, C# with .Net Core, and SQL Application Development Familiarity with automated and unit testing Tertiary degree in electrical engineering, computer science or similar Strong written and verbal English skills Experience working in Agile software development environments Familiarity with cryptographic concepts such as asymmetric/symmetric cryptography, secure hashing and the role of encryption vs authentication Ability and willingness to also work on application development in other languages such as Ruby and JavaScript Security requirements: To be considered for this role, you will be required to gain and maintain a security clearance (to at least Confidential level). To be eligible to obtain this security clearance, you must be an NZ permanent resident and have resided continuously in NZ or one of the 5 Eyes countries (NZ, USA, UK, Canada, Australia) for the past 5 years.Working at Gallagher You’ll be part of a global, future-focused organisation where engineering talent is valued and supported.
