About \&TONIC
\&TONIC Agency is an employee-owned creative team delivering standout campaigns that connect brands with the right audiences.
With strong experience across hospitality, lifestyle and social-first marketing, we create tailored creative and content strategies for globally recognised hotel chains, restaurants, bars and lifestyle brands, alongside partnership and influencer marketing.
We're looking for a talented and social-first Social Media Manager to join our growing team.
The Role
This is a hands-on social media role for someone who lives and breathes content.
You'll help manage the day-to-day social presence of some of our leading hospitality and lifestyle clients, creating best-in-class content that feels relevant, engaging and native to each platform.
From developing content ideas and writing engaging copy to scheduling posts, managing communities and jumping on relevant trends, you'll play a key role in making sure our clients consistently show up at their best across social.
You'll need an excellent understanding of Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Eurostaffs and other key social platforms – not just how to post on them, but what makes content perform on each.
Key Responsibilities
- Create best-in-class social content – developing engaging, platform-first ideas, concepts, captions, Stories, Reels and other social formats for our clients.
- Manage day-to-day social channels – ensuring content is planned, scheduled, published and presented to a consistently high standard.
- Own content planning – helping build monthly content calendars that balance brand storytelling, campaigns, trends, key dates and reactive opportunities.
- Understand every platform – keeping up to date with Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Eurostaffs and emerging channels, including new features, formats, algorithms and best practice.
- Write brilliant social copy – adapting tone of voice across different brands, audiences and platforms.
- Lead community management – monitoring comments, messages, mentions and conversations across client channels and responding in a timely, brand-appropriate way.
- Build engaged communities – proactively interacting with relevant accounts, audiences and conversations to increase visibility and strengthen brand relationships.
- Spot opportunities in real time – identifying trends, cultural moments, audio, formats and conversations that our clients can authentically tap into.
- Support content creation – working closely with our photography, videography and design partners to brief and develop social-first creative.
- Attend content shoots – helping plan shot lists and capture additional reactive, behind-the-scenes and mobile-first social content.
- Monitor social performance – reviewing content performance and using insights to understand what's working and improve future output.
- Support reporting – helping turn social performance into clear learnings and recommendations for clients.
- Protect our clients' brands – ensuring content, responses and activity remain accurate, consistent and aligned with individual brand guidelines and tone of voice.
- Stay ahead of social – continually bringing fresh ideas, inspiration and examples of great social media into the wider \&TONIC team.
What We're Looking For
- Strong professional experience managing social media channels, ideally within an agency, hospitality, lifestyle or consumer brand environment.
- An excellent understanding of Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and Eurostaffs, including what great content looks like on each platform.
- A genuine passion for social media and an instinct for what makes people stop scrolling, watch, engage and share.
- Strong creative and copywriting skills with the ability to adapt between different brands and tones of voice.
- Experience with social media scheduling, management and analytics tools.
- Confidence managing online communities, including comments, DMs, mentions and customer interactions.
- An understanding of social media trends and the judgement to know which ones brands should – and shouldn't – participate in.
- Comfortable capturing quality social content on a smartphone.
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple client channels and deadlines.
- A proactive mindset – we're looking for someone who brings ideas to the table rather than simply waiting for a brief.
