Job Summary

The Senior Structural Engineer is responsible for leading the design, analysis, and delivery of structural engineering projects while ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with applicable standards and regulations. This role provides technical leadership, reviews engineering designs, manages project requirements, and collaborates with architects, contractors, consultants, and project teams to deliver efficient and reliable structural solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the structural design and analysis of buildings, infrastructure, and other engineering projects.
  • Prepare structural calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Review and approve structural designs, engineering documents, and construction plans.
  • Perform structural assessments, feasibility studies, and condition evaluations.
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant building codes, engineering standards, and safety requirements.
  • Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design teams.
  • Manage structural engineering projects from concept design through construction completion.
  • Conduct site inspections, assess construction progress, and resolve technical issues.
  • Review construction materials, methods, and shop drawings for compliance with design requirements.
  • Support project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Identify potential design risks and recommend effective engineering solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations and project updates.
  • Stay updated with industry developments, new technologies, and engineering practices.
  • Ensure all work is completed according to quality standards, project timelines, and client requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional Engineering License or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in structural engineering design and project delivery.
  • Proven experience in structural analysis and design of buildings, bridges, industrial facilities, or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles, materials, and construction methods.
  • Proficiency in structural design software such as STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, Tekla Structures, AutoCAD, or equivalent tools.
  • Strong understanding of international and local structural design codes and standards.
  • Experience preparing technical reports, calculations, and engineering documentation.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and coordination abilities with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Pay: RO2,450.000 per month
