Job Description
The Senior Developer's primary responsibility is to design, build, test, and deploy new capabilities for the Foreign Trade Classification Data (FTCD) product.
This application is a core S4/HANA Master Data solution that serves Bosch divisions globally.
The role involves managing complex business rules and CDS views to create a centrally governed system that calculates and logically processes data from source systems to inherit, predict and distribute classification information to integrated ERPs.
Tasks for this role include:
- As an Expert in SAP S/4 HANA Development you use your long experiences in development of code that is used for processes on group level in huge companies;
- Should be able to understand the business needs and design and implement the requirements in SAP ABAP, BRF+, AMDP and CDS views;
- Analyze and evaluate the requirements for application enhancement with customer and senior architects to validate the completeness of requirement from implementation perspective;
- Solve business issues by analyzing existing code and proposing solutions using SAP S/4 HANA Services;
- Prepare technical design documents for unit testing and integration support. Ensure the quality reviews (Unit test) are conducted;
- Drive quality and standards in our software engineering community, providing and discussing innovative solution approaches and suggestions for improvement in the development;
- Work closely with Architects and IT Functional Consultants to ensure successful completion of User Stories within committed timeframe;
- Ability to represent and argue the technical and implementation decisions to the architects and the customer;
- Develop specifications, associated code and prepare technical design documents for unit testing and integration support;
- Write end user documents, document using UML/TOGAF in Sparx Enterprise Architect and train end users to operate new or modified programs;
- 3rd Level Support within own component in case of defects are not found in your quality assurance, but occur on productive system.
Qualifications Skills Requirements:
- Several years of hands-on development experience on SAP S/4 HANA, AMDPs and CDS views
Programming languages and skills:
Development experiences :
- ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP)
- Knowledge of databases features of S/4 HANA (SAP S/4 HANA ON PREMISE Foundation Release 2023 FPS 03 (02/2025))
- Business modeling rule framework (BRF+)
- Good knowledge in technical areas like: CDS Views, AMDP, OOPs concept, Web services, ADBC concepts, RFC, and FPM
- Workflow Management
- Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP)
Business Processes
- MDM processes in Material master incl. Connected objects (Material classification, Document info records, Engineering Change Master, Bill of Material \& Purchase info records).
