The Research Support Unit at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Senior Pharmacist (Research and Clinical Trials) to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity

Deliver advanced level clinical pharmacy services within an evidence based, quality and multidisciplinary health care environment whilst providing services across multiple specialties within the Mackay Hospital and Health Service.

About the Team

Mackay Institute of Research and Innovation facilitates collaboration between clinicians, educators, researchers and academics to enable health research and translation into practice. Research within MIRI reflects the health concerns and needs of our communities and is consistent with MHHS values.

Our Pharmacy Service is based at the Mackay Base Hospital and provides patient centred pharmacy services, seven days a week. Our pharmacy provides medication on hospital prescriptions for use while patients are in hospital.

Mackay Hospital and Health Service has 6 hospitals, 2 multi-purpose health services and 4 community health centres that employ more than 3,700 staff. The district covers an area of approximately 90,000km2 and provides services to patients and their families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine and Sarina.
