Software Specialist (Senior Integration Developer) - Lend and Protect Tribe

We're looking for a Software Specialist Engineer to join our Credit Apps Squad and help deliver the integration services that support some of ASB's most critical lending platforms.

About the Team

You'll join the Credit Apps Squad within ASB's Lend & Protect Tribe, a technology and business group responsible for experiences across home lending, business lending and insurance.

The squad supports a portfolio of applications, services and integrations that sit at the heart of ASB's lending ecosystem. Working alongside experienced engineers, you'll help improve existing platforms, support critical customer journeys and contribute to ongoing modernisation initiatives across the technology landscape. About the Role

As a Senior Integration Engineer (Software Specialist), you'll work across the full software delivery lifecycle, helping to design, support and improve integration solutions that connect systems, applications and services across ASB. This role offers a mix of project delivery, platform enhancement, operational support and incident management, making it ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and working across a broad technology landscape.

Key responsibilities include:

• Support, enhance and maintain API integrations, applications and services
• Design and deliver cloud-to-cloud and cloud-to-on-premise integrations
• Configure and deploy solutions across lending and collections platforms
• Investigate and resolve integration issues through troubleshooting, monitoring and log analysis
• Partner with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver practical solutions
• Contribute to incident management and operational excellence activities
• Mentor engineers and promote engineering best practices
• Lead technical initiatives and drive continuous improvement

About You

We're looking for a hands-on integration engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and can work confidently across both project and operational environments. You'll be comfortable working independently, influencing technical decisions and collaborating with others to deliver reliable, scalable solutions. You'll bring a continuous improvement mindset, strong problem-solving skills and a passion for delivering quality outcomes.

Key skills and experience:

• Strong integration engineering experience across enterprise applications and services
• Experience with API development, support and troubleshooting using tools such as Postman
• Knowledge of authentication and authorisation technologies including OAuth and JWT
• Experience with Git, GitHub and modern version control practices
• Experience with Azure DevOps pipelines, releases and deployment processes
• Strong SQL Server and database skills
• Experience working across cloud and on-premise environments
• Exposure to Azure-based platforms and modern integration patterns
• Understanding of incident management and production support practices
• Experience with .NET and Web API development would be advantageous
• Experience working within complex enterprise technology environments
• Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies
• Proven ability to lead initiatives, mentor others and drive technical improvements
